The workshop provides an introduction to project funding in the field of contemporary music. We explain the impact of German federalism on funding structures, how to build a project with multiple funding sources, the different types of funding available, and who decides on projects and on what basis. Additionally, we offer a brief overview of the funding landscape nationwide, with a focus on Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, and Munich. There will also be time for questions afterward.

  • Overview of the funding landscape in Berlin, Cologne, Munich and Hamburg (in Breakout-Sessions)

The online workshop aims to provide basic knowledge and includes input sessions, discussions, tasks, and peer exchange.
